That’s where our newest structured product, Protect (April 2024), comes in.

Protect is a four-year investment benchmarked to three global indexes: the S&P 500, the EURO STOXX 50, and the Tokyo Stock Exchange. At the end of the four-year investment period, your returns will be based on a 60%/20%/20% weighting of these three indexes, with the 60% going to the highest-performing index over the four years. And your initial investment principal is protected* in case these indexes are down over that period.

Protect helps provide some global diversification in a unique and automated way. But the best part is that the weighting happens at the end of the four year period. That means you get the benefit of hindsight, and the top performing index will be weighted at 60%. You don’t have to “pick the winner” in advance.

How does Protect (April 2024) work?

Protect is a structured product that combines a package of underlying bonds and options to protect your principal while capturing market upside. When your investment matures in four years, you’ll receive the higher of (1) your principal, or (2) your principal plus the 60%/20%/20% weighted performance of three stock market indexes — S&P 500, the EURO STOXX 50, and the Tokyo Stock Price Index — with the best performing of the three weighted at 60%.

What types of investors is Protect (April 2024) designed for?

Protect is structured to protect your initial investment, so it’s appropriate for investors who don’t want to risk losing their principal. At the same time, Protect offers the opportunity to capture potential market upside with some global diversification. Members should be comfortable with a four-year investment term.
